Jamie M. Kendellen, CPA, CFE, CDFA
Jamie Kendellen began her career as a financial statement accountant with Jeld-Wen, Inc. after obtaining her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Linfield College in 2004. In 2006, she began her public accounting career in Central Oregon. During this time she obtained a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation, the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst designation, and she is an State of Oregon Licensed Municipal Auditor. She has been with SGA Certified Public Accountants & Consultants since 2010.
Jamie’s specialties include auditing, reviewing and compiling financial statements for commercial, not-for-profit and government entities. Her understanding of fraud and internal controls through her training and experience as a Certified Fraud Examiner enables the audit team to develop a more thorough understanding of fraud risks to comply with auditing standards requiring consideration of such risks. She is one of only a handful of CFEs in the area.
Her other areas of expertise include fraud investigations, report preparation and expert witness testimony for management and law enforcement; internal control evaluations and report preparation for management; tax planning and return preparation for individuals, and commercial and not-for-profit entities; and divorce settlement negotiation. As a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, she is trained in analyzing and providing expertise on the financial issues of divorce. She can help assist clients and their lawyers in fully understanding how the financial decisions they make today will impact their financial future – analyze a settlement proposal before the client signs an agreement that he/she may later regret.
Ms. Kendellen is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners - Oregon Chapter, and the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts.
Outside of the office, Jamie is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and is currently working to develop herself in the art of Jiu Jitsu. She enjoys spending time in the Central Oregon outdoors with her family. In addition, Jamie is active in the community, giving presentations to local business owners and not-for-profit board members on the topic of fraud prevention and detection. She is a past finance committee member for Sparrow Clubs, USA.
